A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a car while crossing the street in North Merrick.
On April 14 at approximately 10:42 p.m., Judith Aime, 44, was hit by a 2015 Dodge Charger traveling east while she was trying to cross Jerusalem Avenue near West Drive.
Aime suffered severe trauma and was brought to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
The male driver of the vehicle, 36, stayed at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
