Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. presented badges to 23 deputy sheriff recruits on March 17 ahead of their graduation ceremony.
The Deputy Sheriff recruits trained with the Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD) recruits at the Suffolk County Police Academy during the six-month training program, which included emergency vehicle operations, instruction in firearms, individualized field training, and EMT training.
The new Deputy Sheriff recruits graduate on March 21 with the SCPD and the ceremony will be held at Suffolk Community College Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood.
