Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was fatally shot in Central Islip.
Gustavo Godinez-Carcamo was sitting in a parked vehicle in the driveway of his home, located at 10 Anne Lane, when a passenger in the vehicle shot him on March 15 at 11:52 p.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
Godinez-Carcamo, 40, of Central Islip, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.
