
Nassau County officers arrested an Inwood man for allegedly causing the death of an infant.
On March 7, at about 10:40 a.m., officers arrived at an Inwood home for a report that a two-month-old girl, Liseyda Rabanales-Barrios, was choking. After arrival, officers rendered medical aid, and Rabanales-Barrios was brought to a local hospital. She was later brought to a different hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Further investigation shows that she was assaulted, resulting in her death.
On March 12, Marlon Rabanales-Pretzantzin, 20, was arrested and charged with murder in the second degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on March 13 at First District Court.
