Pizza Delivery Driver Assaulted, Robbed

Nassau County First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Uniondale.

On February 22 at 1:41 a.m., First Precinct police responded to a robbery that occurred on Nostrand Avenue. An investigation revealed that a 23-year-old male driver using his 2018 Honda was delivering Papa John’s pizza to a residence. At that time, two unknown male subjects emerged from the side of the residence. The subjects then struggled with the victim after displaying a black handgun and demanded the food.

As the victim retreated back to his car, the glass on the driver’s side door was shattered. The driver suffered a laceration to his head.  He was then transported in a Nassau County Police ambulance for treatment. Further investigation revealed that the glass was shattered by a bullet from a BB gun.

The subjects are described as black males, five foot, eight inches tall, 18 to 20 years of age, wearing all-black clothing. The subjects fled on foot in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
