Is Trump Seeking Vengeance against His Enemies? Well, Yes and No.

We have found it amusing that the same Democratic officials and operatives who weaponized the Justice Department and used lawfare to go after their political enemy (Donald Trump) and ideological enemies (pro-life groups and PTA moms) are now suddenly having conniptions over the fact that the newly elected president will look into their potential abuses.

They have cleverly labeled it “vengeance” and “retaliation.” But what if they actually did abuse their powers? Wouldn’t Congress have the authority to investigate?

We’re still trying to figure out how higher-ups in the FBI, including Peter Strzok, Lisa Page (Strzok’s ex-wife) and Andrew McCabe, basically concocted an “insurance policy” coup against the incoming president in 2016 and yet were never held to account.

Doesn’t Congress have justification to investigate how Joe Biden‘s No. 3 man in the Justice Department was sent over to work with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s to bring down Trump in a case brought upon by flimsy charges? By a prosecutor who campaigned on “getting Trump”? Before a judge who donated to Trump’s opponent?

How about investigating why the White House was meeting with Georgia prosecutor Fanni Willis‘ boyfriend in the midst of her case against Trump?

Just because it’s Trump‘s administration doing an investigation doesn’t mean it’s off the table because some might label it vengeance or retaliation.

But there is a case where Trump’s actions can indeed be seen as vengeful and retaliatory. That is his dangerous and hair-brained decision to remove security details for his former aides who took on the Iranian regime and now have targets on their heads. These are the same two individuals, Mike Pompeo and John Bolton, who Trump believes exhibited disloyalty after Trump left office.

The irony is, Trump himself was the target of two assassination attempts. How would he like it if his successor were to remove his security detail in future years because he or she simply doesn’t like Trump?

The worst thing about this awful decision for Trump is that it gives fodder to his enemies who would like to label any future investigations against Democratic lawfare as being just another hissy fit by a vengeful Trump.
