Three Arrested for Illegally Selling Cannabis, THC at Local Businesses

Three males were arrested for the illegal sale of cannabis and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)  at their respective businesses.

for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance that occurred Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Nassau County.

On February 13, members of the Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad conducted an investigation and determined that cannabis and THC were sold by the following individuals who were arrested at the listed establishments:

  • Mohammed Abdo Hamo Al Rawhani, 31, of 357 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, was placed into custody at Convenience Plus, located at 939 N Broadway in Massapequa. Police recovered 15 packages containing a greenish-brown leafy substance believed to be cannabis, 13 packages containing what is believed to be THC and cash.
  • Mohamed Gamil Hassan, 27, of 336 W 49th Street, New York, was placed into custody at Farmer in the Deli Smoke Shop, located at 145 Merrick Avenue in Merrick. Police recovered four packages containing a greenish-brown leafy substance believed to be cannabis, 27 packages containing what is believed to be THC, 417 assorted illegal flavored vape products and United States Currency.
  • Nagmedeen R. Hassan, 27, of 53 Arlington Avenue, Valley Stream was placed into custody at The Koughty Shop Inc., located at 2740 Grand Avenue in Bellmore.  Police recovered cash from Hassan’s business.

All three defendants have been charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful sale of cannabis. They are scheduled to be arraigned on February 14 at First District Court in Hempstead.
