Both Had Warrants for Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault
By Hank Russell
Two South Carolina residents were arrested in Nassau County for an attempted murder that occurred in Horry County, South Carolina.
After an extensive investigation, the Nassau County Fugitive Squad, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force responded to an East Meadow residence located on Lenox Avenue. They were seeking two subjects with arrest warrants for attempted murder and aggravated assault out of South Carolina.
According to the Horry County Police Department’s Facebook page, David Mills, 40 of 288 Bellgrove Drive, and Brittney Dawn Hunter, 32, of 4327 Red Rooster Lane, both of Myrtle Beach, were wanted in connection to a shooting that took place on January 30 off Waccamaw Pines Drive in the Carolina Forest area. Due to the nature of the incident in which Mills and Hunter were last seen, the pair were considered armed and dangerous.
On February 13, law enforcement placed Mills and Hunter under arrest without incident.
Mills and Hunter were both charged with being fugitives from justice and will be arraigned on February 14 at First District Court in Hempstead. They will then be processed for extradition back to Horry County, South Carolina.
