Uniondale Man Arrested For Assault

(Photo Courtesy of the NCPD) Ranfei Orozco was arrested in Uniondale for assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Nassau County officers arrested a Uniondale man for an assault that happened on February 4 at about 6:30 p.m. in Uniondale, but was not reported to police until the following day at 4:20 p.m.

Police responded to help Child Protective Services at a home in Uniondale. CPS was checking on the welfare of a 3-year-old child when they found visible bruises on the child’s body, prompting them to call 911. After arriving, the officers started an investigation and put Ranferi Orozco, 26, of Hempstead Boulevard, into custody.

Orozco was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on February 6 at First District Court.
