Suffolk County Police arrested two men for robbing a Yaphank gas station at gunpoint.
Marion Maupin and Raiquan Davis robbed an employee of Shell, located at 482 Sills Road, on January 24 at approximately 7:30 a.m. The two were located by officers a short time later on Wilson Avenue in Coram. The gun used in the robbery was recovered.
Sixth Squad detectives charged Maupin, 32, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Davis, 27, of Medford, with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a firearm and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm. Maupin was additionally charged with first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
The pair were held overnight at the Sixth Precinct for arraignment on January 25 at First District Court in Central Islip.
