The Arson Bomb Squad is investigating a house fire that took place in Elmont.
On January 24 at 2:01 p.m., Nassau County Fifth Precinct police responded to a house fire on Hoffman Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed the second floor of the home fully engulfed in flames. The Elmont Fire Department, along with the Valley Stream Fire Department, responded to extinguish the flames.
The home suffered substantial damage, as well as to the west side of a home next door due to the heat from the flames.
