A Hempstead woman was arrested for grand larceny at a Bethpage assisted living facility.
According to Nassau County Eighth Squad Detectives, Kumarie Nazir, 55, of 8 Sunnyside Avenue, was employed as a nurse’s aide for The Bristol Assisted Living, located at 1075 Stewart Avenue. Nazir removed multiple pieces of jewelry belonging to the patients she was assigned to care for on October 8, 20, 21 and 23.
On December 28 at 12:05 a.m., Nazir was placed under arrest without incident. She was charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and four counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent physically disabled person. She was scheduled to be arraigned on December 28 at First District Court in Hempstead.
