A North Lawrence man was arrested for hitting and choking another person in Inwood.
On December 25 at 2 a.m., Nassau County Fourth Squad officers responded to a Clinton Avenue residence for a disturbance. Alan Garcia, 36, of 211 Rockaway Turnpike, was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 26. The argument escalated and a physical altercation occurred, resulting in Garcia striking and choking the victim while removing his chain.
Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation, located the defendant and placed him into custody. Garcia was transported to a local area hospital for an evaluation.
Garcia was charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree criminal obstruction breathing. He was arraigned on December 25 at First District Court in Hempstead.
