A Manhasset man has been arrested for an assault that happened in Manhasset.
On November 23 at 9:15 a.m., Nassau County Sixth Precinct officers responded to a Pond Hill residence for an assault. Upon arrival, police determined that Carlos Mullings, 53, had a verbal argument with a 30-year-old female victim that escalated, resulting in Mullings punching the victim in the jaw. He then used an unknown sharp object and stabbed the victim’s upper left arm, causing a puncture wound. A Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of her injury. Mullings was placed into police custody without incident.
Mullings was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on November 24 at First District Court in Hempstead.
