On September 18, Drucker (D-Plainview) celebrated the grand opening of Press 195, located at 1048 Old Country Road. Known for their sandwiches, burgers, cocktails and club fare, Press 195 is the eatery’s third location, with other restaurants in Rockville Centre and Bayside, Queens.

During a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce, Drucker presented the owners with a Nassau County Legislature Citation and applauded the Press 195 team for celebrating their grand opening with a donation to Jericho Cares, a not-for-profit, philanthropic network of residents that provide support for local families in need.

“Not only is Press 195 adding another exciting dimension to Plainview-Old Bethpage’s restaurant scene, they joined our community with a truly admirable act of kindness that will directly benefit local families,” Drucker said. “As a lifelong Plainview resident, I’m proud to welcome them to the community and wish them tremendous success in the months and years ahead!”

On September 23, Drucker attended the grand opening of Mongo’s Coffee at the Library. The café is located inside the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library, located at 999 Old Country Road. He presented a Nassau County Legislature Citation in recognition of the momentous occasion of the café’s expansion beyond its main Syosset location.

“Mongo’s Coffee has earned a reputation in the community as an outstanding coffee roaster and a destination for gatherings – and that unifying spirit makes them a perfect partner for the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library,” Drucker said. “I wish owner Mitchel ‘Mongo’ Margulis tremendous success in this new venture and encourage everyone to enjoy a good book and a great cup of coffee at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library!”
