Nassau County police are still investigating an incident in which a man was hospitalized after falling off the platform of an excavator at a business in Inwood.
According to detectives, Fourth Precinct police responded to an accident that occurred at the Inwood Material Terminal located at 1 Sheridan Boulevard. Upon arrival, police observed a 49-year-old male that had fallen off the platform of an excavator and onto the ground. The Inwood Fire Department was on scene treating the victim for back trauma that he suffered from the fall. The Nassau County Police Aviation unit transported the victim to a local nearby hospital for further treatment.
The victim was conscious and alert.
The investigation is ongoing.
