How in the world can this be allowed to happen in this great nation?
Just how did our judicial and law enforcement system get so broken that our leaders are allowing an illegal immigrant to continue to wreak havoc on our local roads by getting arrested five times for driving while intoxicated?
How was he not deported on his very first DWI conviction?
Eventually, they finally did deport him after several more DWIs. That was in 2024, but since there are no consequences to jumping over the border illegally, he cavalierly walked back over the border into American soil once more.
That’s when he was arrested for another DWI. Kudos to the district attorney’s office for fighting his release and demanding that he be given severe prison time. He was sentenced to up to seven years.
When he’s out, he needs to be deported with the knowledge that if he ever comes back, he’ll get a mandatory 10 more years in prison.
What’s remarkable is that we continue to elect people into our government who allow this nonsense to fester.
It is now the mission of a huge segment of our elected bodies to do whatever they can to prevent any deportations.
They’re doing this to cater to the Hispanic community, whom they inaccurately think want more illegal immigration. But they’re also doing it for the preservation of their own power. They need illegal aliens here since they are counted in the census and prevent their districts from being carved out.
They also believe that if they can do enough for the illegals, at some point, they’ll be legalized and the pols will be rewarded with the votes of those who they have prompted to cross the border and did everything they could to keep them here.
It is sad that this is what we have come to. Would anyone have ever believed, even just 15 years ago, that this would be America today?
