You have to know by now that the mainstream media slants way left. That includes CNN, The New York Times and The Washington Post. And throw in there all the network news broadcasts.
So we looked with curiosity as to what these outlets would do regarding coverage of the Republican midterm convention. Now granted, this was a first-time event, so it was uncertain how they would cover it, but you can bet the farm that, had it been a Democratic convention, even in a midterm, all of these outlets would’ve covered it from gavel to gavel.
It wasn’t surprising that most of these media outlets froze out the convention completely. But CNN did something rather cute.
They showed Trump speaking, and at times actually had the audio of his speech amplified. Yet at other times, they just showed him speaking in the background while commentators were basically bashing his every word.
But more comical was the fact that — even when they showed Trump speaking and you could hear his message — they had on the side of the screen a series of real-time tweets from various Trump haters within the media.
You can’t make this up. In this way, CNN could say that they covered part of his speech, but were trashing him in real time.
And they really think that they are a down-the-middle broadcast. Ha!
