Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman recently released a commercial — using artificial intelligence (AI) — featuring Governor Kathy Hochul boasting how she raised taxes on New Yorkers, took political donations from millionaires and let crime run rampant due to the eradication of cash bail.
In the commercial, Blakeman asked AIthe artificially generated Hochul tells of how she “provided luxury accommodations” for illegal aliens and raised taxes by $8 billion to provide “free healthcare for sex workers.”
Against a backdrop of wind turbines, Hochul said she allowed foreign countries to control the state’s energy production “which means your energy prices go up.” As she walks across an overpass, she boasted about raising fares on commuters and motorists and said that the best way to fix the traffic problem is to “ensure that people can’t afford to drive or take the subway.”
The AI-generated Hochul noted that she ended cash bail so “we can stop punishing people who commit brutal crimes against our fellow New Yorkers like this nice young man.” She motions to a hulking, tattooed criminal who asks her, “Want some crack?”
The commercial ends with Hochul walking through a neighborhood in the city telling residents, “Don’t let Bruce Blakeman lower your taxes or make New York safe.”
Blakeman, who is running against Hochul for governor, posted his commercial on X (formerly Twitter), adding, “This is what Kathy Hochul’s New York really looks like. She raised taxes by $8 billion, hiked tolls and fares 21x, and ended cash bail so violent criminals walk free. When I am Governor, I will cut your taxes, restore cash bail, and make New York safe and affordable again.”
In response, Hochul campaign spokesperson Ryan Radulovacki said there is “no need to use AI to paint a picture of Bruce Blakeman jacking up property taxes, letting violent crime hit ten-year highs, or running an armed MAGA militia that undermines law enforcement — he did that in real life.”
