The New York State Democratic Committee released a new commercial saying that Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who is running for governor against Kathy Hochul, has been extremely loyal to President Donald Trump, who they say has taken away healthcare from New Yorkers and raised the cost of everything, from groceries to gas.

In the 15-second commercial, called “Magnificent,” shows news clips reporting increases in inflation and gas prices, tariffs and healthcare cuts as Blakeman praises Trump. “I think President Trump is doing a magnificent job,” he said. “He’s doing a great job with the economy. I trust him.”

The commercial ends with “Bruce Blakeman: Loyal to Trump, Not to you.”

This is the second ad released by the NYS Dems. As previously reported in Long Island Life & Politics, the group released a commercial called “Suck-Up,” in which the party blasts Blakeman for being the single biggest fan of Donald Trump’s illegal, expensive tariffs as Governor Hochul fights for $1,700 tariff rebates to put money back in the pockets of New York families.

“Bruce Blakeman has rubber-stamped every part of Donald Trump’s toxic MAGA agenda and left New Yorkers to pay the price,” said NYS Democratic Committee Chairman Jay Jacobs. “As Trump rips away healthcare and sends costs higher on everything from groceries to gas, Blakeman continues to praise what a ‘magnificent’ job Trump is doing. The choice in this race is clear: While Blakeman auditions to be Trump’s caddy in Mar-a-Lago, Governor Hochul is standing up to his attacks on our state and putting money back into New Yorkers’ pockets.”

LILP reached out to Blakeman’s campaign for comment, but did not hear back as of press time.
