A woman was bitten by a dog in Valley Stream,
On August 5 at 4:47 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to an East Avenue residence for the report of a dog bite. When they arrived, they saw a 75-year-old woman, who had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition.
The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The Town of Hempstead Animal Control also responded and removed the animals.
