Nassau County police are still investigating the cause of a fire that happened in West Hempstead.
On July 11 at 3:30 a.m., officers responded to 350 Hempstead Turnpike for a building fire. Upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke and flames emanating from the building. The West Hempstead Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. Multiple adjoining business units also suffered damage. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was not deemed to be suspicious at this time.
