Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives are investigating a residential fire that occurred in Smithtown.
Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to a house fire at 115A Oakside Drive on July 11 at 5:54 p.m. Upon arrival, Robert Barathy, 82, was outside his residence. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. He suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is believed to be non-criminal.
