Officers from Nassau County and the Town of Oyster Bay rescued a man aboard a boat who suffered a medical emergency.
On August 4 at 10:26 a.m., a 911 call was received for a 64-year-old male suffering a medical emergency aboard a vessel on the Long Island Sound just north of Bayville. Nassau County Aviation, Nassau County Marine Bureau and Bay Constables from the Town of Oyster Bay responded and located the vessel.
The man was brought ashore and transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment by a Nassau County Police Ambulance. The vessel was towed to shore.
