A man was seriously injured in an accident in the water in Atlantic Beach.
On August 9 at 4:30 p.m., a 911 call was received for a 45-year-old male who was boogie boarding in the vicinity of the Sunny Atlantic Beach Club, located at 2035 Ocean Boulevard. The man fell off his boogie board and struck his head, resulting in a suspected spinal injury.
Nassau County Aviation Helicopter 6 responded and transported the injured man to a local area hospital for further evaluation and treatment. He is currently listed in stable condition.
