Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning death of a man in Stony Brook.
Sixth Precinct officers responded to a home on August 7 after a 911 caller reported that a family member, Anthony Izzo, was found unresponsive in a pool at approximately 7:45 p.m. Officers and members of the Stony Brook Fire Department pulled the man from the pool and performed CPR.
Izzo, 75, who lived at the home, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Detectives believe the incident is non-criminal in nature.
