Nassau County police are investigating a house fire that occurred in Valley Stream.
On July 11 at 1:22 a.m., officers responded to a residential fire located at 34 Eastwood Lane. Upon arrival, they observed flames emanating from behind the house. The Valley Stream Fire Department, along with several additional fire departments, responded to extinguish the fire. No other injuries were reported. The Red Cross was notified and responded to assist the displaced residents.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad Detectives responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
