Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a fireworks-related incident that seriously injured a man in Fort Salonga last night.
Jerry DiMucci was lighting a firework during a Fourth of July celebration on Callahans Beach on July 4 when it exploded and struck him in the face at approximately 8:50 p.m.
DiMucci, 45, of Fort Salonga, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854- 8452.
