Nassau County police recovered a dead body that was floating in the water in North Woodmere.
On June 16 at 11:05 a.m., officers from the Homicide Squad responded to North Woodmere Park, located at 750 Hungry Harbor Road, for a report of an unknown person seen floating in the water. Officers responded and recovered the unidentified body. A Nassau County Police medic pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
