Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine, the Office of Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement and the Office of Economic Development present Suffolk County Connects, a program geared toward first-time homebuyers, real estate investors and young homeowners. This informational session will take place on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brentwood Fire Department, located at 125 Fourth St. in Brentwood.
Those looking to purchase a home for their family will learn about homeownership and home protection. Topics include first-time homeowner programs, how to apply for grants and down payment assistance, credit and closing cost tips, loan modification and how to avoid foreclosure.
There will also be a discussion on real estate investing and wealth building. This will cover LLC and ownership strategies, tax liens and probate properties, fix-and-flip and auctions.
Local agencies will be in attendance. The event will also feature county resources, giveaways and more.
