The Nassau County Arson Squad is looking into a car fire in East Meadow that also ignited a local business.
On July 18 at 6:25 a.m., First Precinct Officers responded to the Tipsy Barrel, located at 470 Newbridge Road, for a parked vehicle on fire. Upon Police arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied and fully engulfed in flames. The fire subsequently spread to the building, causing minor damage. The East Meadow Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad responded. The investigation is ongoing.
