Two Massapequa Park men were arrested for allegedly assaulting a neighbor during an argument.
On June 23 at 1:55 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to an assault at a Grant Street residence. Upon arrival, they were informed that Brian Mckeon, 67, and Brian Mckeon Jr, 33, allegedly got into a verbal argument with a 34-year-old male on a nearby property. The argument escalated into a physical altercation and the defendants allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a wooden rod and a black baseball bat.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. The defendants were located nearby and placed into custody. Further investigation led to the recovery of the baseball bat and the rod.
Both defendants were charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. They are scheduled to be arraigned on June 24 at First District Court in Hempstead.
