Suffolk County Police arrested two people during SLA inspections at two gas stations in East Moriches.
On August 19, in response to community complaints, Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers conducted SLA inspections at five businesses in the Seventh Precinct and found two were non-compliant.
During the inspections, underage police agents were allegedly sold alcoholic beverages by employees at two stores. The following people were arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree:
- Neval Efecik, 52, of East Patchogue, an employee of Wave gas station, located at 476 Montauk Highway
- Shannon Schnoll, 50, of Medford, an employee of Valero gas station, located at 620 Montauk Highway
They were both issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
