Trio Arrested for Allegedly Burglarizing Massapequa Mall

Three men were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a mall in Massapequa.

Nassau County police officers from the Seventh Squad responded to the Sunrise Mall, located at 850 Sunrise Highway on June 19 at 1:27 a.m. for three males inside after store hours. Upon arrival, officers observed that multiple doors had been damaged. While searching the premises, they located three male subjects. Omar Flores, 21, of Queens, Isiah Rodriguez, 20, of Levittown and Shea Velazquez, 19, of Clermont, Florida were all placed under arrest without incident.

Velazquez was found to have a speed loader containing six bullets on his person. A further investigation resulted in the recovery of a black Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver from the defendant’s vehicle, a silver Nissan Ultima parked on Eastgate Road.

Flores, Rodriquez and Velazquez are all charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Velazquez is additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm. They will all be arraigned on June 20 at First District Court in Hempstead.
