Two Teen Girls Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Four Other Teens

A 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were both arrested for allegedly assaulting two other girls in Merrick.

A 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old female reported being assaulted and suffering injuries at 2099 Sunrise Highway on May 22 at 9:30 p.m. The 15-year-old victim said she was struck several times on her head and, after falling to the ground, was kicked repeatedly in the head. She went to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The 14-year-old reported being dragged to the ground and struck repeatedly in the head. After a thorough investigation, a 13-year-old female was arrested without incident.

Police charged the female juvenile defendant with two counts of Assault in the Third Degree. She is due to appear in Family Court at a later date.

On May 26, a 14-year-old female was arrested for her alleged involvement in the above incident. Further investigation found that she was also allegedly involved in another assault in the vicinity of 2099 Sunrise Highway. The girl allegedly attacked two 15-year-old girls by dragging them to the ground by their hair and repeatedly striking them in the head.

She is charged with four counts of Assault in the Third Degree. She is due to appear in Family Court at a later date.
