Prior Sex Offender Arrested for Forcible Touching

A Westbury man who was previously convicted of multiple sex offenses has been arrested after he allegedly touched a woman inappropriately while her daughter was in the car.

On July 4 at 9:23 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was sitting in her parked vehicle with her daughter near the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and S Grand Street in Westbury when Mohammed Karimzada opened her car door and allegedly forcibly touched her before fleeing the scene on foot. After a thorough investigation, Karimzada, 53, of Westbury, was arrested without further incident.

Police charged Karimzada with Forcible Touching, Persistent Sexual Abuse and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 5 at First District Court in Hempstead. Further investigation revealed Karimzada was previously convicted of multiple sex offences.
