Pair Arrested for Syosset Grand Larceny

Two people for allegedly stealing a surveillance camera in Syosset.

On August 31 at 6:31 p.m., two subjects in a black Chevrolet exited their vehicle near the intersection of Richmond Street and Willis Avenue and allegedly removed a pole and the Flock camera attached to it before fleeing the scene. After a thorough investigation was conducted, the vehicle was located on 3rd Street in West Babylon and Evren Daldal, 23, of West Babylon and Dayton Schell, 22, of Ronkonkoma were placed under arrest without incident.

Nassau County police charged Daldal and Schell with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree. They were arraigned on September 1 at First District Court in Hempstead.
