A North Massapequa man has been arrested for murder after a woman was found unresponsive.
On June 29 at 8:44 a.m., Nassau County police officers responded to a North Massapequa residence for a 911 call for a request for an ambulance due to a woman who was not breathing. When police arrived, they located Veronica Castle, 25, of Massapequa, who was unresponsive. CPR was administered and she was transported to a local area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
After a thorough investigation, Joseph Horner, 27, was placed into custody at the scene of the crime. Police charged Horner with Murder in the Second Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 30 at First District Court in Hempstead.
