A North Bellmore man was arrested for allegedly carrying a gun inside a restaurant.
On July 19 at 7:20 p.m., 911 received a call about a disturbance that was happening in a Wantagh restaurant. The caller advised the 911 operator that one of the parties involved in the argument might have a gun on him. Nassau County police responded to 2302 Lafayette Street to conduct a thorough investigation. Two handguns were recovered from the residence. Robert Kellington, 80, was arrested without incident.
Nassau County police charged Kellington with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on August 7.
