Suffolk County Police yesterday arrested a Manorville man for murder after he stabbed another man to death in Medford.
Joseph Norton allegedly stabbed Timothy Stark in the back during an altercation on Express Drive South at Route 112 on July 20 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Norton then allegedly fled the scene in a motor vehicle.
Stark, 32, who was undomiciled, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.
A short time after the stabbing, Patrol officers located and arrested Norton at the intersection of Yaphank Avenue and Horseblock Road in Yaphank.
Homicide Squad detectives, assisted by Sixth Squad detectives, charged Norton, 20, with Murder in the Second Degree. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 21.
