Man Arrested for Stabbing in Restaurant

Suffolk County Police arrested a Sayville man for allegedly stabbing another man in a restaurant. 

Aaron Gonzalez was in a restaurant, located at 60 South Main St., when he allegedly got into a dispute on July 24 at 1:10 a.m. with a 19-year-old man that turned physical. During the altercation, Gonzalez allegedly stabbed the victim.

The victim was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Gonzalez was transported in a private vehicle with minor injuries to NYU Langone  Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue.  

Gonzalez, 23, was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He was held overnight in the Sixth Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on July 25.
