Suffolk County Police arrested a man for stabbing another man at a deli in Farmingville.
After a dispute with a stranger inside the Mooney Pond Deli, located at 374 Mooney Pond Road, Christian Evans went outside the deli, and allegedly stabbed another man with a boxcutter at approximately 9:05 a.m.
Evans fled and was arrested at the 7-Eleven, located at 358 Mooney Pond Road at 9:21 a.m. The victim was transported by a stranger to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Evans, 24, of Mastic, was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
Evans was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct, and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 17.
