Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for allegedly fatally stabbing his father in Mastic early this morning.
Edward Brown called 911 at approximately 12:30 a.m. and reported he had been stabbed in his apartment. Police and personnel from Mastic Volunteer Ambulance Company responded and attempted life-saving measures. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
A short time later, Brown’s son, Sage Arias-Brown was arrested. Homicide Squad detectives charged Arias-Brown, 33, of Lake Ronkonkoma, with Murder in the Second Degree. He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 8.
