Two men were arrested as part of Nassau County’s quality-of-life initiative.
According to police, Strategic Response Team (SRT) officers conducted a license premise inspection at the following locations on July 6:
- Good Food & Shake — located at 90 Nassau Road in Roosevelt. Officers located two illegal electronic gambling machines, which were seized, and a total of $1,276 in cash was recovered. Erick Hernandez Martinez, 33, of Freeport, is charged with Possession of Gambling Devices, Unlicensed Public Assembly, Disorderly Premise and operating without a valid New York State Liquor License. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on July 20.
- Stop & Go Food Market — located at 135 Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt. Officers located four =hidden illegal electronic gambling machines, which were seized, and a total of $390 in cash was recovered. Rafael Rodriguez, 63, of Uniondale, is charged with Possession of Gambling Devices, Unlicensed Public Assembly and Disorderly Premise. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on July 20.
