A Hempstead man was arrested for drug possession during an overdose investigation.
On May 16 at 9:35 p.m., an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Nathaniel J. Greene, 58. Detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident. After the investigation, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
Police charged Greene with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on May 17 at First District Court in Hempstead.
