A Great Neck man has been arrested for assault and weapons possession after he allegedly stabbed another man.
On August 28 at 9:30 p.m., Nassau County police officers from the Sixth Squad responded to a Florence Avenue residence in Great Neck for a domestic disturbance. When police arrived, they were informed that a verbal argument allegedly occurred between Eric Vasquez, 34, and a male victim, 40. The argument escalated and Vasquez allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck multiple times with a foldable knife. Fearing for his safety, the victim called 911. A short time later, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.
Police charged Vasquez with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He will be arraigned on August 29 at First District Court in Hempstead.
