A Freeport man has been arrested for allegedly using his 13-year-old daughter to complete a drug deal.
On a previous date, Julio Enmanuel Pena, 39, allegedly made arrangements to sell cocaine to an individual and had his 13-year-old daughter complete the transaction. On June 1 at 12:40 p.m., Pena was arrested at his Freeport residence without incident. An additional quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine was recovered at the time of his arrest.
Police charged Pena with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Conspiracy in the Third Degree, Use of a Child to Commit a Controlled Substance Offense and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
He was arraigned on June 2 at First District Court in Hempstead.
