One person is dead and two more were wounded during a shooting in East Meadow.
On April 15 at 8:27 p.m., Nassau County officers responded to a report of shots fired in Eisenhower Park, Field Two, located at 1899 Hempstead Turnpike. Upon arrival, they discovered a 15-year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. Two other males, ages 28 and 31, also sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a nearby hospital where they are currently in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
