East Meadow Man Arrested after Argument Leads to Stabbing

An East Meadow man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man during an argument.

On June 18 at 6:36 p.m., Nassau County police officers from the Eighth Squad responded to an incident at Governors Comedy Club, located at 90 Division Avenue in Levittown. Upon arrival, it was determined that Francis Jimenea, 54, was allegedly involved in an argument with a 58-year-old male. The argument escalated and led to a back alley, where the defendant allegedly stabbed the victim in the back with a knife.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. Jimenea was placed under arrest without incident and was transported to an area hospital for a laceration.

Police arrested Jimenea with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 19 at First District Court in Hempstead.
