A former Blue Point resident was indicted on additional sex trafficking and rape charges for allegedly forcing a 33-year-old victim to engage in prostitution through the use of drugs, violence and sexual assault. He was previously indicted in June 2026 for allegedly forcing a 29-year-old victim to engage in commercial sex acts for money using similar tactics.
The second victim allegedly met Torrey Brown in September 2025 and began what she initially believed to be a romantic relationship. Shortly thereafter, Brown, also known as “Smiley,” allegedly took control of the victim’s phone and posted commercial sex advertisements of her online. Brown allegedly provided the victim with crack and heroin in order to compel her to engage in these acts. When she refused to comply, Brown allegedly withheld the drugs, inducing withdrawals, and physically assaulted the victim until she complied.
Brown allegedly stayed nearby while the victim engaged in commercial sex with buyers in order to immediately collect the proceeds. He allegedly held the victim against her will at various motels and hotels and would physically assault her if she tried to leave.
The defendant also allegedly told the victim that she owed him a debt for the drugs he provided. The alleged debt was never satisfied or reduced, despite the proceeds from the sex acts.
On two occasions in January and March 2026, Brown allegedly forcibly raped the victim.
The victim reported these incidents to the Suffolk County Police Department’s Human Trafficking Investigations Unit in July 2026, after Brown was taken into custody for allegedly sex trafficking the first victim. According to the allegations in the first indictment, Brown provided the first victim with drugs, forced her to engage in sex with others for money, prevented her from leaving a motel room for several days, punched her in the face and threatened her with a knife.
On October 1, 2026, Brown was arraigned on the second indictment before Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis for the following charges:
- two counts of Rape in the First Degree, class B violent felonies
- Sex Trafficking (Force), a Class B violent felony
- three counts of Sex Trafficking, Class B felonies
“This indictment contains allegations involving a second survivor who has now come forward,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney. “Torrey Brown allegedly supplied the victim with drugs, then used withdrawal and violence to force her into having sex with strangers for money. If anyone believes they have been a victim of trafficking by this defendant, please contact my office. We are here, and we will act.”
Wilutis ordered Brown held on $500,000 cash, $2 million bond or $5 million partially secured bond during the pendency of the case.
Brown is due back in court on November 17, 2026, and faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted on the top count.
